Brian Prater

As the Government Affairs Associate for Pac/West Strategies, Brian provides support on government affairs projects and, more broadly, assists the team in meeting the needs of the firm’s diverse set of clients, which include educational and political campaigns, strategic communication, community outreach, and government relations.

Brian has gained a background in political strategy and government relations through his professional and academic experience. During his time as a political consulting intern at GuidePost Strategies, Brian regularly attended and developed comprehensive reports on Congressional hearings that were of strategic interest to clients and their policy goals. He also monitored Congressional Election data for the 2022 election cycle and proposed pieces of legislation that were of interest to clients as they made their way through the legislative process. Brian also gained experience in government affairs during his time as a student at Colorado State University, where he received his B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Legal Studies.

Brian is an avid sports fan who played baseball for over a decade. He regularly spends his free time watching all things Denver sports and spending time with his friends and family.
