Alec is the firm’s External Affairs Manager, overseeing all aspects of his clients’ external relations ranging from campaign operations and management, to media relations and crisis communications, to stakeholder outreach and engagement.
Alec brings his external affairs expertise to Coloradans for Responsible Energy Development (CRED), where he works with the educational campaign and external partners to better educate Coloradans about the positive impacts of responsible oil and natural gas production in the state.
Before joining Pac/West Strategies, Alec served in several senior positions on political campaigns and in government executive offices, most recently as Campaign Manager for Congressman Glenn Grothman’s successful 2020 reelection campaign. Prior to that he held positions including as Public Information Officer for the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Director of Advance for former Governors Scott Walker of Wisconsin and Bruce Rauner of Illinois, and advance staff on three top-tier presidential campaigns in 2016—Walker, Rubio, and Cruz—as well as numerous other statewide and congressional campaigns.
Alec and his wife moved to Denver in November 2020 from Wisconsin. He has a B.A. in Political Science from Marquette University, where he participated in the Les Aspin Center for Government as part of both their Washington, D.C. and Africa programs. He is also a member of the Leadership Program of the Rockies class of 2021.
