Ryan serves as a Communications Associate for Pac/West Strategies, providing support on communications projects for a diverse portfolio of clients. He assists the communications team in developing communications strategy, creating engaging content and conducting market research based around the needs of clients.
Before joining Pac/West Strategies, Ryan was the Community Relations Specialist in the Washington D.C. region for Gentle Giant Moving Company, organizing and energizing local stakeholders for business development. He was successful in securing sponsorships at notable non-profit community events like the D.C. Pride Parade and the famous Marine Corps Marathon. He has experience conducting media relations for a strategic communications firm in D.C. called Rational 360, where he served as a Public Relations Fellow. He gained valuable experience from this firm working with Healthcare, Defense and Government Relations clients.
Ryan earned his B.S. in Communications with a minor in History at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. During his undergraduate studies, he worked with a university-funded environmental stewardship club that helped to maintain over 100 miles of trails in Rockingham County. He also worked for the campus radio station WXJM, providing quality tunes for JMU students and Harrisonburg residents alike. He was published in the James Madison University Symposium for his research on foreign policy surrounding the War on Terror in Afghanistan. He is passionate about domestic and foreign policy, an avid outdoorsman and lover of all things music. When not in the office, he also enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
